ARIA Agent documentation
How to work with ARIA Agent day to day — from a quick question to an ongoing project — and what's already available versus still coming to the dashboard.
Who this is for
Anyone on your team doing research, writing, planning, or day-to-day knowledge work — and anyone who'll later move into ARIA IDE for software development, since ARIA IDE is reached through ARIA Agent.
Chat and voice Available now
Talk to ARIA Agent by typing or by speaking. Example: ask a question by voice, then continue the same thread by typing a follow-up — context carries across the switch.
Projects Planned
ARIA Agent is designed around project-based organization — separating one piece of ongoing work from another so context doesn't bleed between them. A dedicated project list and switcher inside the dashboard is planned; today, ongoing work is organized through your conversation history with ARIA Agent rather than a standalone projects screen.
Research Available now
Ask ARIA Agent to gather and organize information on a topic. Example: "Summarize what our knowledge base says about our refund policy and flag anything that looks inconsistent."
Writing Available now
Draft emails, proposals, reports, and other business writing. Give feedback in the same conversation to revise a draft rather than starting over.
Planning Available now
Work through options and tradeoffs on a decision before committing to it. ARIA Agent will ask clarifying questions rather than guessing at ambiguous requests.
Files Requires setup
Structured text content can be added to your knowledge base for ARIA Agent to reference (see Knowledge). Direct drag-and-drop file upload (documents, spreadsheets) inside a live chat is Planned and not yet available as a dashboard action.
Knowledge Available now
ARIA Agent draws on the same organization knowledge base as ARIA Voice, so answers stay consistent with what your business actually offers. Admins and managers can review the current knowledge library from the Knowledge dashboard section.
Memory Available now
ARIA Agent retains customer- and organization-level memory across sessions so recurring context doesn't need to be re-explained every time.
Approvals Requires setup
Certain actions ARIA Agent can take on your behalf — like creating a booking — can be marked as requiring confirmation before they take effect. Which actions require confirmation is configured per organization during setup, not through a self-service dashboard toggle yet.
Workflows Available now
Multi-step requests — gather information, produce a draft, flag it for review — are handled as a connected sequence within a conversation rather than isolated one-off prompts.
Opening ARIA IDE Available now
When your work is a software project, ARIA Agent becomes ARIA IDE — the same account and conversation, focused on code. From the dashboard, open the ARIA IDE section to see development-related activity. Full detail is in the ARIA IDE documentation.
Dashboard instructions
- Sign in and open the ARIA Agent section from the dashboard navigation.
- Review any configured agent workspaces and their status.
- Use the ARIA IDE link from that page to jump into development-related work.
Usage Planned
Overall account activity is visible in your dashboard. Metered usage tracking specific to ARIA Agent sessions is not yet connected — see Usage & billing.
Known limitations
- There is no standalone project list/switcher in the dashboard yet — ongoing work is tracked through conversation history.
- Binary file upload inside a live conversation isn't available yet; text content can be added to the knowledge base instead.
- Approval rules for sensitive actions are configured during setup, not self-service yet.
- Metered usage reporting is not yet connected.
Troubleshooting
Example: ARIA Agent gives an answer that doesn't match your current policy. This usually means the knowledge base entry is out of date — ask an admin or manager to review it in the Knowledge section. For sign-in or access issues, see the general troubleshooting guide.
